Our Story
About Us
Holmesland Farming is a first-generation family farm based in West Yorkshire, built from a shared passion for farming, animals, and rural life.
Although farming has always been in Dan’s blood, he didn’t grow up on a traditional farm. Since 2009, he has worked from his parents’ smallholding, raising a wide variety of animals over the years — from turkeys and sheep to cattle. His passion for livestock and farming has only continued to grow ever since.
Emma has always been animal mad, especially when it comes to horses. Since 2011, she has worked as a large animal veterinary nurse, where her love for farming and caring for livestock grew even stronger. She also moved to a smallholding in 2009, where her hands-on experience with animals and rural life truly began.
After meeting five years ago, Dan and Emma combined their passions and have worked hard to grow Holmesland Farming together. Today, the farm is home to a growing herd of cattle, with a particular focus on pedigree British Blues, alongside a small herd of suckler cows, calf rearing, and a flock of sheep.
Alongside running the farm, both Dan and Emma also work full time, dedicating every spare moment to building Holmesland Farming and working towards their dream of farming full time in the future.
Family is at the heart of everything we do, and Joe and Poppy are always there helping out around the farm too.
Through Holmesland Farming, we hope to share a genuine insight into everyday farm life while creating products inspired by the animals and machinery we love so much. Every purchase helps support our family farm and allows us to continue building for the future.
From our family farm to your home — thank you for supporting Holmesland Farming.
